Gregory Crewdson is an American Photographer who takes suburban environments and turns them into bizzaar scenes. He uses extensive lighting. All of the lighting he uses in the scenes is planned out ahead of time down to every lamp post. The photos have a sort of uneasy feeling they remind me of a sci fi movie. It is amazing how he sets up these environments and pays close attention to detail. Every object in the image has a reason for being there. The lighting for me really makes the photographs they are so well done. Each picture tells a different story and each one draws the viewer in. I am inspired by Gregory Crewdson because of his staged setups and they are something to look at for our next project.
