Alexander Henderson was a well-known nineteenth-century photographer whose views of Canadian landscape, city scenes and outdoor activities received the highest praise at home and abroad.Alexander Henderson started his photographic career in 1866 and moved to Canada in 1855 from England. He is known for his landscape photography and was hired as a photographer for the Canadian Pacific Railway to document the construction and the landscape they needed to construct through.I find Henderson’s photography to be more aware of the people and their relationship within the landscape.
