Stephan Tillmans is a german artist and his series is Leuchtpunktordnungen, which means luminance-point arrays. What I found out about his work is that the images are of analog televisions turning off. The way he was able to capture the television turn off is by being in a dark space. Tillmans explained that the timing of shutting off the television had to be perfect when pressing the camera shutter. He had to take a lot of photos in order to get it just right. I slightly remember turning off old televisions and seeing the flashing light but theses patterns of light that he captured are pretty awesome. What is most amazing is that our eye cannot see these patterns.
