Abbas Attar was an acclaimed French- Iranian photographer. He specialized in major political and social coverage. He was and Iranian transplanted to Paris and dedicated his work to coverage of the developing southern nations. His work has been published in world magazines and included wars and revolutions in Biafra, Bangladesh, Ulster, Vietnam, the Middle East, Chile, Cuba, and South Africa. He also published numerous books, collecting his photos in a diary format. His photos seem to display a hidden narrative that he is known as a writer working with light as his medium.
