I recently came across a catalog of the work of San Antonio-based artist, Kathy Vargas. Her imagery is dream-like with the qualities of old photographs reminiscent of a memory. A major factor in her work is the hand-coloring technique she uses to finish her prints, often including mixed media into her pieces.
