Andrew Brodhead is an American photographer who lives and work in Savannah, GA.
He studied Photography and Printmaking at Savannah College of Art and Design, graduating in 2009. Since 2006, Brodhead has been a part of several group exhibitions, in the United States and France. Andrews current work is a series called “Floating”. In these pieces, there is a body wrapped in plastic floating over various urban scenes, or landscapes. Broadheads work is heavily influenced by the environment and recycling.
This series illustrates how as a society we sacrifice the cleanliness of our environment with our consumption. The bodies are in the images to represent how we invade the environment. Overall, I appreciate Brodheads ability to create a simple and beautiful composition while also able to convey a strong message.
