Marie Cisneros reviews Disney Dream series by Annie Leibovitz

Annie Leibovitz is one of my favorite photographers. She has been a working photographer since the 70's.  Shes worked for Vanity Fair, Rolling Stone magazine, and has taken some of the best celebrity photos of almost any photographer.  John lennon and Yoko Ono, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Rolling Stones and more. 

She partnered over the last couple years with Disney to create amazing celebrity pictures posed as Disney characters from the classic animated Disney films.  They called this series of photos the Disney Dream Portrait series. She has taken the classic tales and choose the celebrity to portray some of our favorite Disney characters with amazing backgrounds of a Disney film.  Here are some of those photos.

 

She has made the Disney films come alive in a vivid dream like state.  With amazing lighting a a team of  lighting assistants, makeup artist, wardrobe, and stage hands, she has made cartoons come alive.  Russell Brand, Will Ferrell, Jason Segel and Jack Black posing as Captain Hook and the Hitchhiking Ghost from the Haunted Mansion attraction, Rachel Weisz as Snow White, Roger Federer as King Arthur and Olivia Wilde as the Evil Queen, and Jeff Bridges as the transformed beast and Penelope Cruz as the beauty from "Beauty and the Beast." These were some of the celebrities who were transformed as Disney characters.   

With the help of Disney Parks Leibovitz has made surreal photos that made my heart fill with joy as I hope it does with you.  She has a way to make celebrities feel comfortable and relaxed as well as having fun on the set.  Click here to see more behind the scenes...
