Christian Harkness is a photographer and printmaker in Northern Florida and while he may not be well known, he definitely stands out in my mind. This image was taken with Fuji Neopan 1600 film. It just goes to show that sometimes grain is just lovely, as Libby would say. The image is provocatively lit and evokes a somber and questioning emotion. Without seeing the majority of the face and the eyes being in shadow, the normal spots to view emotion are gone and we must fill in what the woman must be feeling. Most of his photographs have to deal with portraits and landscapes.
