Simon Howlett

Simon Howlett is a photographer that works a lot with 120 film for a pinhole camera.  What captured my eye was how beautiful and peaceful his landscapes were. They are very settle and simple but has a lot of definition within the images. The format of a panoramic makes them more interesting as well showing how much open space around the subjects in each one.

Howlett shows a subject we usually see everyday as if it weren't never as wonderful to look at before.  I can tell a lot of thought was put into on how to set the perspective. One is the photograph below.  The way the right side warps up to the sky is what creates creativity to this photo.

Another one of Howlett's photographs that caught my eye were the ones with the lighthouse.  All of Simon Howletts photographs have punctuality to them that brings joy into my eyes with their precious capture of those moments of the world.
