Allison Cashin submits Andreas Gursky

Andreas Gursky is a German photographer that shoots large format architecture and landscapes color photos, often employing from a high point of view.  Gursky's perspective draws from an elevated vantage point making the position of the viewer to encounter scenes encompassing both centre and peripheral making the ordinary beyond reach.  The artist draws his work from large man-made spaces, high-rise facades, office lobbies, stock exchanges, and the interiors of big name retailers.  His content is very straightforward giving his photographs little to no explanation or manipulation.
