Allison Cashin submits Jeongmee Yoon

JeongMee Yoon is a South Korean photographer.  In Yoon's "The Pink and Blue Project" explores how how gender shapes our lives from a young age. Her photos are neatly arranged and color coated in pink for girls and blue for boys.  Color is the driving factor in her photos and also overwhelming the viewer with the monochromatic objects.  Yoon's work also plays with advertising and consumerism among different cultures.  In each each photo has one or more iconic children's cartoon character.  Also the child's parents have an impact on the child's taste.
