Hector Vasquez Reviews Diane Arbus

Diane Arbus was a famous American Photographer who was born in 1923 in New York City. Her photography is noted as mainly focusing on people who had physical disabilities, transgender people, circus people, etc. Basically people who's looks were generalized by the public as strange and surreal.
Her photos had a dark and stark representation to them showing in frank detail some of the locals of New York that Arbus had come across during her search in questionable and dark places in New York. Arbus had a very difficult life towards the end. She had been in a divorce from her husband, actor Allan Albus and she also had depression. She later committed suicide in her Apartment in 1971.
Arbus's work had become very much sought after and a movie was made about her in 2004 called "Fur", which stared Nicole Kidman as Diane Arbus.
