Curtis Baker is mainly known for his work in film, he peaked
my interest with his work from the Netflix series “Stranger Things”. Curtis Baker primarily focuses on shooting on set
during pinnacle scenes of tv shows or films. He shoots primarily in color when
he is on sets but the portraits he does are in black and white. Sometimes he
shoots the actors and actresses offset to display their personality apart of their
characters. However in the photos that he takes on set he tries to portray the personality
of the character while capturing the scene and ambiance of the show. Baker is
well known in the Hollywood scene, he started photography in Atlanta and has
only been shooting for about 10 years and yet has quickly moved up in the “Hollywood
industry”. I enjoy his work because it is a nice middle ground between commercial
art and gallery art.
