Jessica Hawkins reviews Alfred Eisenstaedt
Alfred Eisenstaedt began his career before World War II in Germany and moved to the US. He was the one who took the picture of the famous kiss when the war was getting close to ending. He usually took candid photos in natural lighting , which captured so many memorable moments. He was a very popular photographers before he moved to the states and took some of the most famous photographs such as the first meeting between Hitler and Mussolini in Italy. He was a huge fan of the small 35mm film cameras, especially because it was easier to carry around and get a greater variety of shots than the less portable ones. He was said to take a lot of "human interest" photos , because he preferred to take less formal shots and catch people in their natural poses and candid moments.
