Mandy Hayes was born September, 3 1981, San Antonio, Texas. Hayes been exposed to fine art from a young age. Hayes mother Arlene La Dell Hayes and grandmother Juan Dell are known New Mexico sculpture and painter. She studied at Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara, Santa Barbara City College, and finished her BA at Art Center College of Design in 2008. She has done a series Welcome to Camera Obscura: A Pinhole Perspective of San Antonio. All these photos were taken with a pinhole camera with 4x5 black and white sheet film. This process gives the images a different look when it comes to depth of field and a softer feel.
