Abelardo Morell is an artist from Cuba. The first image is a camera obscura which he made in a hotel room of central park. The placement of the camera obscura and the wall on which it projects to really makes this photo work. i enjoy that the photo does not just stop at the wall but creeps up onto the ceiling. The second image is a different one of Abelardo Morell's series called tent camera. He used a lightproof tent with periscope type optics making it possible for him to project a landscape that is outside of the tent onto the ground. I really enjoy his location for the tent camera because it gives it a very organic feel. You can see the texture in the photographs of the ground and i think it gives it a nice quality.
