Barbara Probst is a photographer and contemporary artist who was the first to use a remote control. She was born in Munich, Germany and lives and works in New York and Munich. Using a remote-control device, she simultaneously triggered the shutters of twelve cameras strategically positioned around a New York City rooftop. Probst uses multiple point of view by having as many as 12 cameras and tripods, all being pointed around the subject. The multiple points of view are taken with separate images but photographed with a single radio controlled shutter release.
