Chad Davis reviews Dean West

Born in 1983, Australian artist Dean West has been described as one of the best emerging photographers by numerous photographic magazines, contests, and art collectors.  He has an extremely conceptual and detailed way of depicting his images, and his content ranges from portraiture, to very elaborate compositions requiring numerous models and locales. Some with easily interpreted narratives and story lines that are emotionally charged with exciting subjects, such as a giant octopus attacking a submarine, and other compositions that provide thought-provoking imagery to determine what exactly is occurring to his characters and allows the viewer to create their own drama to coalesce with the imagery.
