Sheridan O'Neal submits Kelli Connell

Kelli Connell uses multiple negatives to create a photograph which portrays a believable situation. She uses the same model and layers the negatives to have the model interact with itself. She works to explore the intimate relationships within ourselves to question sexuality, gender roles, internal conflicts, irrational and rational, exterior and interior self, motivated and resigned self. I think it is a very interesting way to visually represent all of the internal conflicts that people regularly experience. Its a great way to show how most people explore and discover who they are through questioning, experimentation, and observation. This works is a autobiographical study of the artist’s life and the experiences that she has been through. However, I think everyone can relate to these images in one way or another. They are very intriguing documents.
